Description
An Early 17th Century Continental Six Plank Coffer. The lid having a moulded edge and iron strap hinges. The thick plank chest of dove-tail joined construction; the front plank emblazoned with a pair of armorial saltire shields carved with a bird with outspread wings, two fleur-de-lis and a tower. 19 in (48 cm) high, 43¾ in (111 cm) wide, 18 in (46 cm) deep.
