Description
A Pair of 16th Century Renaissance Relief Carved Oak Panels. One depicting a female figure stood upon leafy zoomorphic scrolls with beast head terminals issuing stems of fruiting vine and cornucopia cascading flowers surmounted by feathered birds. The other with a pair of naked figures flanking an urn above face mask issuing zoomorphic scrolls, fruiting vine and foliage. Backed onto later panels and edged in applied moulding 21¼ in x 13½ in (54 cm x 35 cm).
