The top rail with lobe cut terminals and carved initials C.J.L in a scalloped recess to the centre above a panelled back carved with arabesque strap-work to the upper panel. The arms on turned posts leading down to a planked seat partially replaced with walnut, and standing on turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 43¾ in (11 cm) high, 22 in (56 cm) wide.
