A Collection of 19th Century Carved Mother-of-Pearl, Bone & Ivory ‘Hand’ Objects: Three silver seals; one with mother of pearl handle carved as a hand clenching a baton emerging from a pleated sleeve with lace cuff 3¼” (8 cm) in length, the second carved from ivory with a pair of clasped hands below a lobed final knop adorned with wrythen rosette, 4” (10 cm) in length, the third with a single hand, frilled cuff, lobed finial with rosette cap, 3½” (9 cm) in length. Another small seal intaglio of John Wesley with a carved bone clenched fist forming the handle, 2” (5 cm) in length. A bone parasol handle, 4¼” (11 cm) in length. Two clenched fist mounts; one holding a baton 1½” (4 cm) high, the other a serpent 1¾” (4.5 cm) high.
