Description
A Late 19th/Early 20th Century Birch Wood Bowl of plain hemispherical shape with flat base and a matching spoon with shallow round bowl and single ‘lantern’ terminal containing a captive ball. The bowl 2¾” (7.2 cm) high, 5½” (14.2 cm) in diameter, the spoon 7?” (19.7 cm) in length. Also a pole lathe turned burr birch squat cylindrical box with double ogee sides tapering to a narrow plain foot rim, the top with a single incised line around the opening and a tightly fitting shallow domed lid with double incised band and a small mushroom knop finial to the centre, 2¾” (6.8 cm) high, 4?” (11 cm) in diameter. Also a coconut shell bowl with enamelled interior, 5½” (14 cm) in diameter.
