A 17th Century Spanish Walnut Veneered Cabinet on Stand. The cabinet strengthened with iron corner brackets and having swing carrying handles to the sides between moulded cushion front panels. The doors inlaid with ebony bands and stringing and having applied moulding, opening to reveal a well fitted interior with pull-out banks of pigeon holes above a central arched cupboard door surrounded by various sized drawers edged in ebonised ripple moulding with small brass ring handles on engraved flowerhead mounts. The two lower drawers with hinges fall-down fronts. Standing on a later stand of twelve tapering barleytwist columns above ball turnings, headed by foliate carved corbels flanking a central radial fluted arch, with a moulded shelf and plinth base, 42 1/2 ins (108 cms) wide, 64 1/2 ins (164 cms) tall and 16 1/2 ins (42 cms) deep. |

The two main geometrically moulded cushion front panels infilled with stained veneers and framed in dentilated borders with ornamental roundels adorning the corners. The breakfront tapering pilasters to the centre and sides headed by Ionic scroll capitals and leading down to a moulded base with a long twin-paneled drawer enriched with scrolling strapwork.
