A 19th Century French "Serves" Clock Set. The clock having a round painted dial signed Richond Bd. MontMartre 11 and decorated with a winged cherub holding a garland of roses set into a turquoise blue glazed urn enriched with gilded floral ornamentation and surmounted by a pair of ormolu love birds perched on a cascading bouquet of flowers with lion masks bearing knotted tassel handles to the sides. The breakfront D-ended base mounted with a winged cherub either side of the flared clock pedestal holding between them a swag of flowers, 21 ins (54 cms) in height. The garnitures having five foliate scrolling candle branches around a central raised light with flaming finial cap. The baluster urns painted with romantic scenes on one side and floral bouquets on the other, raised on decoratively cast pedestal bases, 22½ ins (57 cms) in height.
