A Small Rectangular Sèvres Box. The cushion lid painted with a romantic scene of young couple sat beneath a tree in a turquoise blue glazed border enriched with gilding. The back and front hand painted with rural landscapes and edged in gilt beading, 4¼ ins x 3¾ x 1¾ ins (11 x 9.5 x 4.5 cms).
