A Pair of Early 16th Century Oak Appliqués, French Circa 1500. The tall & slender carvings incorporating full length standing figures raised on faceted columns adorned with imbricated petals and terminating with pendant dog-head finials. The figured canopied by square spire pinnacles carved with cusps of stylised foliage and surmounted by finials. 46½ ins (118 cms) in height, 2 ins (5 cms) in width, 2¼ ins (6 cms) in diameter.
